Orphan Care Program
The first distribution of food packages to 100 vulnerable orphan families took place on April 6, 2024, during the holy month of Ramadan, at a central location in Shinkiari, District Mansehra, KPK Province, Pakistan, for March 2024. This initiative is part of the Orphan Care Program, aimed at addressing the critical challenges faced by orphaned children, especially in meeting their nutritional needs. SVF organizes the monthly distribution of food packages to 100 orphan families, providing essential food items to meet their monthly needs. This support will continue from March 2024 to February 2025, ensuring consistent aid for one year.
The second food package distribution event for 100 vulnerable orphan families took place on July 7, 2024, providing double monthly packages for April and May 2024 at a centralized location in Shinkiari, District Mansehra, KPK Province, Pakistan. This distribution is part of the Orphan Care Program, which addresses the critical challenges faced by orphaned children, particularly their nutritional needs. SVF organizes these monthly distributions, supplying essential food items to support the Orphan families’ needs. This monthly support will continue from March 2024 to February 2025, ensuring consistent assistance for one year.
The third distribution of food packages to 100 vulnerable orphan families took place on August 18, 2024, at College Doroha in District Mansehra, KPK Province, Pakistan. This event provided double monthly packages for June and July 2024. As part of the Orphan Care Program, this initiative aims to address the critical challenges faced by orphaned children, particularly in meeting their nutritional needs. SVF organizes monthly distributions, supplying essential food items to support the Orphan families. This monthly support will continue from March 2024 to February 2025, ensuring consistent aid for one year.
In March 2024, 100 orphaned children were enrolled in four reputable private schools in District Mansehra, KPK Province, Pakistan, following a thorough due diligence process. During the inauguration ceremony on March 30, 2024, these children received comprehensive educational supplies, including textbooks, notebooks, school bags, uniforms, and shoes. A one-year agreement was signed with four partner schools—PIPS, IOH, Mind Champs, and Light Tower Schools—to provide education for these children. Under this agreement, SVF will cover tuition fees, admission fees, transportation, and consumable supplies for the enrolled students.
Between August 22 and August 26, 2024, consumable stationery items, including color pencils, Dollar pencils, Camel erasers, sharpeners, ballpoint pens, scales, and branded notebooks, were distributed to 100 orphaned children enrolled in four partner schools—PIPS, IOH, Mind Champs, and Light Tower Schools. These items are provided quarterly to support the educational needs of the 100 orphan beneficiaries.
Feast of Sacrifice/Qurban
The Feast of Sacrifice/Qurban campaign focuses on providing meat to vulnerable households during significant religious events. By distributing meat from sacrificial animals, this initiative ensures families receive nutritious food while observing religious traditions.
On May 25, 2024, 15 animals were sacrificed, with meat distributed to 250 households, benefiting approximately 1,875 individuals. Mr. Serdar Simsek provided Kafalah, ensuring religious and ethical standards were followed.
On June 29, 2024, an additional 5 animals were sacrificed, and meat packages were distributed to 83 households, benefiting approximately 625 individuals.
Water & Ablution Facility
In response to the local community’s need for clean Drinking water and proper ablution facilities, a Water & Ablution Facility was constructed at Jamia Ashrafia, Union Council Tanda, District Mansehra. This facility promotes hygiene, supports religious practices, and addresses the water supply needs of the surrounding community of Tanda KPK Pakistan.
The facility was inaugurated by Mr. Serdar Simsek on May 26, 2024, significantly improving the daily lives of students, worshippers, and residents of the area.
Restoring Vision and Independence
The Restoring Vision and Independence campaign focuses on restoring sight to vulnerable individuals through cataract surgeries. This healthcare initiative significantly enhances the quality of life for those affected by cataract-related blindness, enabling them to regain independence.
On August 24, 2024, cataract surgeries were successfully conducted for 10 patients at the Eye Health Care Center in Havelian. This life-changing intervention helped restore their vision and improved their overall well-being.
